Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) issued a motorist advisory Tuesday evening in Columbia County for a five-acre brush fire.

The FHP advisory said the fire is around the area of County Road 240 and SW Little Road, and smoke from the fire may impact travel along I-75 and other area roads throughout the night and into the early morning.

FHP urged drivers to use caution when entering the area, warning that visibility could reduce quickly. The advisory also advised drivers to reduce speed and use low beam headlights to adapt to the conditions.
