According to a city of Gainesville release, the event will take place at 10 a.m. at East University Avenue at NE 26th Terrace and SE 26th Terrace.

The 4-year-old died in October 2021 when he was hit by a car on University Avenue returning home from Fred Cone Park. Robert’s mother, Megan Durant, became an advocate of traffic safety measures and pedestrian safety that included a pedestrian-activated signal installed by the Florida Department of Transportation near the site of the accident.

On Oct. 27, 2023, the city of Gainesville dual-named NE 26th Terrace as “Dylan Roberts Road.”
