Election 2020: Democratic candidates debate three nights in a row this week

Alachua County voters will have the opportunity to hear from local candidates three nights in a row this week via virtual candidate forums sponsored by the Alachua County Democrats.

Sheriff Candidates Forum

On Tuesday, June 30th join the Alachua County Democrats for a Virtual Candidate Forum with candidates for Alachua County Sheriff. Sheriff Sadie Darnell and Rep. Clovis Watson Jr. will answer questions and discuss the issues needing attention starting at 6 p.m.

County Commission Candidates Forum

The following night on July 1st at 6 p.m., the County Commission Candidate Forum will host Mary C. Alford and current Commissioner Mike Byerly running for District 1 and Candidates Anna Prizzia, Jason Standford and Kevin Thorpe running for District 3.

School Board Candidates Forum

And on Wednesday July 2nd a Virtual Candidate Forum for School Board­­­ seats will feature District 2 candidates Khanh-Lien R. Bank and Diyonne L. McGraw and District 4 Candidates Sande B. Calkins and Dr. Leanetta McNealy.
