Two people were injured Monday night in a collision near NW 16th Avenue and NW 34th Street in Gainesville.

According to a Gainesville Fire Rescue (GFR) release, personnel from GFR and Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR) responded to a collision requiring extrication around 7:30 p.m.

GFR Q8 was assisted by ACFR Heavy 23 and extracted one person while GFR E4 provided medical care for the patient whose SUV ended up in the tree line. The SUV also required fire suppression.

Both patients were transported to the local hospital for treatment.

This looks like the accident where the vehicle crashed through that brick wall on the corner of 34th and 39th. It was 39th Avenue, NOT 16th.
