GNVCares opens applications for small businesses

The City of Gainesville has launched GNVCares about Businesses, a $1.59 million program aimed at expanding local relief and recovery efforts through direct assistance to small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The application process for businesses opened today, May 14 at 9 a.m. and will be open for seven days. 
 
Business owners are urged to review eligibility requirements before applying and to begin assembling documentation. A checklist is available at GNVcares.orgIndividuals may dial 211 to check eligibility, ask questions or make an appointment for application assistance. View informational flyer.

GNVCares uses existing City resources, as well as federal dollars that will be received under the CARES Act, for COVID-19 response.  More specifically, the GNVCares About Businesses program is funded by the following sources: City of Gainesville General Fund, the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, and Gainesville Community Reinvestment Area (GCRA).
