Precincts Update: Election Day voting crosses 20,000 in Alachua County; turnout exceeds 70%

Over 20,000 ballots have been cast today by Alachua County voters today, and no issues have been reported at any of the local precincts, according to Alachua County Supervisor of Elections (ACSE) Public Information Officer TJ Pyche.

According to the Turnout Tracker on the ACSE website, there have been 20,119 cast today as of 3:30 pm.

Overall, there have been 136,080 ballots cast in Alachua County by mail-in-ballot, early or Election Day voting – which is just over 71% turnout. This includes 61,139 mail-in ballots, 54,681 early votes, and 20,119 Election Day ballots.

Democrats lead in Alachua County with 70,788 votes cast, followed by Republicans with 38,268, non-party affiliated voters cast 25,032 votes and 1,992 others.
