Two unidentified men were killed when their vehicle ran off I-75, struck a tree and caught fire just south of Gainesville on Friday.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a sedan traveling north on I-75 at mile marker 380 ran off the road at 5:06 p.m., striking a tree with its front and another tree on its right side.

The sedan came to rest within the center grass shoulder facing southwest and caught fire due to the collision. FHP confirmed that the driver and passenger were both males but did not confirm where they were from or their ages.
