Two men solving an investigation

The High Springs Police Department is looking for information in connection with a back yard assault Sunday night in southeast High Springs.

Police say an unknown assailant entered the back yard at a private home where a group of people were gathered. The person attacked a 58-year-old male with a baseball bat and then fled.

The victim, whom police did not identify, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The High Springs Police Department is calling for public help identifying the assailant. Anyone with information can contact Sergeant Tracy Taylor at ttaylor@highsprings.us or by calling 352-955-1818.

How about you change headline to include baseball, as in baseball bat.

Lemme get this straight. You read THAT headline and were expecting to read an article about bats attacking a man in his backyard? ...After learning that no bats were responsible for the attack, and instead a crazed man with a baseball bat “sheat the bit” out of a helpless man at a cook-out, the only rational thing you could do was complain about the headline of an article written in a free newspaper. You must be on the City of Gainesville’s Board of Commissioners.
