Melrose man, 46, dies after losing control of motorcycle in Bradford County

A 46-year-old Melrose man died Wednesday morning in Bradford County when he rode his motorcycle through an intersection and crashed.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the man was traveling eastbound on SE 35^th Street in Melrose at 7 a.m. when he failed to stop or slow down for the stop sign at the intersection with SE 8^th Avenue. He proceeded through the stop sign and exited the roadway, where he lost control of the motorcycle on the grass shoulder.

Emergency responders pronounced him dead on scene.
