An 84-year-old Morriston man died Friday afternoon when his car left US Highway 41 north of County Road 326 and collided with a tree.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the man was driving a sedan southbound on US Hwy 41 north of County Road 326 at 4:40 p.m. when his vehicle left the roadway onto the east shoulder and struck a tree.
Levy County Fire Rescue responders pronounced the man dead on scene.
