Two Fort Myers women were seriously injured Sunday when the motorhome they were in collided with a tractor-trailer during a lane change and overturned on Interstate 75 south of Lake City.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 62-year-old Fort Myers woman was driving a motorhome southbound on I-75 near mile marker 412 around noon in the left lane while a 51-year-old man from Fort Bend, Texas, was driving a tractor-trailer in the middle lane.

The motorhome driver attempted to change lanes from the left to the middle lane, causing the right side of her motorhome to collide with the left side of the tractor-trailer. The collision caused the motorhome to overturn into the ditch on the west side of I-75.
