A pickup struck and killed a 42-year-old Old Town man walking on NE 316th Avenue in Dixie County on Saturday night.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the man was walking in the roadway of NE 316th Avenue near NE 497th Street around 10:55 p.m. when he was struck by a pickup. The pickup fled the scene.
Emergency responders pronounced the man dead on scene.
FHP located the Ford pickup and person of interest on Sunday around noon, according to an additional release sent Sunday afternoon.
