According to an Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR) release, units from ACFR and the Cross Creek Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle accident on CR 325 in Cross Creek at 5:15 a.m.
Firefighters found a person inside the pickup, which left the road and had rolled several times, trapped inside. The units used hydraulic rescue equipment, known as the “Jaws of Life,” to remove the occupant.
Emergency responders transported the driver to a local hospital.
