A 69-year-old Sarasota woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash on US Highway 27 in High Springs on Saturday afternoon.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 61-year-old Branford man was driving a Ford F-350 pickup truck when he collided with the rear of the Toyota SUV driven by the Sarasota woman that was at a standstill in traffic at the intersection of US Highway 27 and NW 174th Avenue at 12:44 p.m.
The Toyota SUV exited the roadway and the Ford pickup then collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by a 68-year-old Walhonding, Ohio, man.
The FHP reported that the Sarasota woman did not survive her injuries, while the two pickup truck drivers did not sustain any injuries.
