Two Fayetteville, North Carolina, residents died on Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in Suwannee County.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 26-year-old Fayetteville man was driving westbound through a right-hand curve on I-10 near mile marker 274 at 11:56 a.m. when he lost control of his sedan, which traveled across the eastbound lanes and struck a tree on the eastbound shoulder.

Emergency responders pronounced the driver and the passenger, a 24-year-old Fayetteville woman, dead on scene. Neither the driver nor the passenger was reportedly wearing a seatbelt, according to the FHP release.
