A 63-year-old Steinhatchee man died Saturday when he hit a pothole on County Road 361 that threw him from his motorcycle.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the man was driving his motorcycle north on County Road 361 near SW 863rd Street in Dixie County south of Steinhatchee at 5:40 p.m. when he struck a pothole in the roadway and lost control of his bike. The motorcycle fell on its side and struck the roadway, and the driver separated from the vehicle and collided with the ground.
Emergency responders pronounced the man dead on scene.
His family needs to sue the county for ill maintained roads. NEVER should a pothole get big enough to throw someone from a motorcycle.
Well said pathetic road maintenance.
this is sad rip
