A 30-year-old Old Town man died Wednesday evening when he was hit by an SUV while walking on County Road 349 in Dixie County.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 27-year-old Chiefland woman was driving an SUV south on CR 349 near NE 250th Avenue north of Old Town at 6:40 p.m. when the vehicle struck the Old Town man walking in the roadway.
Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead on scene.
