Multiple people sustained minor injuries when an SUV rear-ended a school bus that stopped on County Road 137 in Suwannee County on Wednesday morning.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 62-year-old Lake City woman was driving a school bus with students south on CR 137. The bus slowed as it approached a bus stop at 208th Pass when a 34-year-old Branford woman driving an SUV failed to slow its speed and struck the rear of the bus.

Emergency responders transported multiple students who sustained minor injuries to HCA Florida Suwannee ER. The SUV driver and her passengers – two Branford girls ages 10 and 5 – also sustained minor injuries and were transported to HCA Lake City Hospital.
