Tennessee motorcyclist critically injured after collision with semi on I-75

A 34-year-old Tennessee man is in critical condition after a tractor-trailer collided with his motorcycle on Interstate 75 north of Lake City on Monday.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the Tennessee man was riding his motorcycle northbound on I-75 and left the roadway at 12:08 p.m. onto the east shoulder when he collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer that was on the east shoulder of I-75.

The motorcycle rider was airlifted to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
