Two Live Oak men died and three were injured in a two-vehicle collision Monday morning in Suwannee County.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 25-year-old Live Oak man was driving a sedan west on US Highway 90 at 5:30 a.m. when he turned left to enter the driveway of a Jiffy Food Store in front of a 34-year-old Live Oak man driving a pickup pulling a trailer east on US 90. The pickup struck the right side of the sedan. The collision occurred just east of the 76th Street intersection.

Emergency responders transported the three passengers of the sedan two HCA Florida Suwannee Emergency. The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered only minor injuries, but the two passengers in the sedan – a 50-year-old Live Oak man and a 20-year-old Live Oak man – were pronounced dead at the hospital. Neither was wearing a seatbelt.

The pickup driver and his passenger, a Live Oak man (age unknown), suffered minor injuries and were not transported to the hospital.
