Vehicle hits Levy County school bus with 22 students onboard

A teenage Williston driver ran into the back of a Levy County school bus that was stopped to pick up students on Thursday morning.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) report, the 16-year-old Williston girl was driving a 2015 Hyundai north on NE 140^th Court at 8:23 a.m. behind a school bus being driven by a 48-year-old Bronson woman. The school bus stopped at the intersection of NE 50^th Place to pick up students when the Hyundai struck the rear of the bus.

The school bus had 22 Williston Middle/High School students on board, but no one was injured in either vehicle.

The Williston teenager was cited for careless driving.
