Williston man, 66, dies in 2-vehicle crash in Levy County

A 66-year-old Williston man died when a sedan drove into the path of his motorcycle on US Highway 27-Alt in Levy County on Sunday night.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 26-year-old Bronson man was driving southbound on NE 140th Court at 9:50 p.m. when he crossed northbound onto US 27-Alt through the media break and attempted to cross southbound US 27-Alt to enter the driveway of the Marathon gas station.

The Bronson man drove into the path of the Williston man riding his motorcycle southbound on US 27-Alt as the motorcycle approached the NE 140th Court intersection and the bike struck the right side of the sedan.

Emergency responders transported the Williston man to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, where he was pronounced dead.
