Woman dies in Levy County auto accident

A 57-year-old Williston woman died in an auto accident Monday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP). 

The collision occurred on U.S. Highway 27 at NE 147th Court, which is about five miles west of Williston. The woman failed to yield the right of away when she attempted to turn left onto NE 147th Court, causing a car traveling east on U.S. Highway to broadside her vehicle and take both off the roadway, according to a FHP press release. 

The driver of the second vehicle, a 62-year-old Bronson man, was uninjured.

Authorities did not release the name of either person.
