Hawthorne took full advantage of overtime to trip Orlando Christian Prep 14-11 on September 16 in Florida football.

Nothing was decided in the third quarter, with Hawthorne and Orlando Christian Prep locked in an 8-8 stalemate.

Each offense authored its Rip Van Winkle imitation, napping through barren first, second and fourth quarters.

Hawthorne held on with a 6-3 scoring edge in the first overtime period.
