It wasn’t pretty, gut-tough wins usually aren’t, but Gainesville Eastside wasn’t going for style points. A victory will do, and it was earned 39-35 over Alachua Santa Fe in a Florida high school football matchup on October 29.

The Rams avoided the brakes and shifted into victory gear via a 29-21 stretch over the final quarter.

Offense was nothing but a rumor in the second and third quarters, as neither squad scored.

The start wasn’t the problem for Alachua Santa Fe, who began with a 14-10 edge over Gainesville Eastside through the end of the first quarter.
