The visiting Raiders got back in the win column on Monday night with an 11-3 victory at Dunnellon.
Junior Ryan Jablonski led Santa Fe at the plate by going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two runs driven in. Senior Will Beck and junior Dylan Doria also had 2 RBI apiece for Santa Fe (4-8), which snapped a 3-game losing streak.
Newberry (7-4) is led offensively by University of Florida commit Tavis Honeycutt. The junior has a whopping .571 batting average and a .659 on-base percentage with six home runs and 18 RBI.
The host Panthers won last year’s meeting, 3-2, on Valentine’s Day. However, Santa Fe has won 17 of the last 21 in the series since 2006.

We’re back at Sonic Drive-In (39th Avenue) on Wednesday with Buchholz boys wrestling coach Billy Pankey and members of the Bobcats’ wrestling team that participated at last weekend’s FHSAA state meet.
The Bobcats had their season come to a close, but the boys tied a school record with three state placers. Derry Godbolt finished sixth, Prince Fortuna finished seventh, and Dylan Leamon took eighth.
