The Branford Buccaneers rallied with 12 points in the second and third quarters and then held on to defeat the Trenton Tigers 12-9 in week nine high school football action Friday night.
Trenton opened the scoring with a first quarter touchdown to take a 6-0 lead. Branford answered in the second with a touchdown to even the game at 6-6 going into halftime.
Trenton improves to 4-5 and plays at Lafayette next week. Branford is 6-1 with the win.
