Bronson, Chiefland eliminated from playoffs

The Wildwood Wildcats scored four first half touchdowns and never looked back in advancing to the second round of the playoffs with a 40-0 rout of the Bronson Eagles. Leading 27-0 at the half, the Wildcats added two more touchdowns in the second half, and half the Eagles scoreless throughout.

Bronson ends its season with a 6-r record. Wildwood improves to 8-1, and travels to Newberry next week to face the 7-1 Panthers in the second round of the playoffs.

Hawthorne 34, Chiefland 0

The Hawthorne Hornets took a 20-0 lead into halftime, and cruised to a 40-0 win over the Chiefland Indians in the first round of playoffs Friday night.

Chiefland ends its season with a 1-8 record. Hawthorne improves to 7-2. They play the winner of the Saturday game between Williston and Ft. Meade.
