Buchholz reschedules tonight’s game with Eastside; Trenton girls start 4-0

Yesterday the Buchholz High School athletic department announced that the following home games have been added, canceled or rescheduled due to COVID-19 or as a precaution. 

Tonight’s boys basketball game against Eastside has been rescheduled for Saturday 12/19 at Buchholz. 

Thursday’s girls basketball game against P.K. Yonge is cancelled as of today but they are hoping to reschedule it soon.

Also Thursday, Buchholz Boys Soccer against Forest (Ocala) was added at Jonesville at 7 p.m., and Friday girls soccer vs. Fleming Island (Orange Park) will be moved from Citizens Field to Jonesville Park at 7 pm.

Trenton girls are on a tear

Tonight, the Trenton girls and boys basketball teams will host a double-header against Lafayette (Mayo).

The Lady Tigers are off to a 4-0 start, outscoring their opponents by an average of 41 points per game.  Senior Samarie McHenry leads the way averaging 13.8 points and 10 rebounds per game. The girls play at 6, followed by the boys game at 7:30.
