Listen live to Gainesville battle St. Augustine

The Gainesville Hurricanes travel to St. Augustine in search of the Class 6A District 4 championship tonight.

The Hurricanes (6-2) and Yellow Jackets (5-2) both sport 3-0 conference records, so the winner will capture both the district title and an automatic state playoff berth. The two teams appear in this week’s regional power poll, with St. Augustine at No. 10 and Gainesville receiving votes.

Gainesville enters the contest following back-to-back wins, including a convincing 49-7 home victory over Ridgeview (Orange Park) on Oct. 21.
