On Monday, P.K. Yonge girls swimmer Alessandra Quintana signed with Division-I Queens University of Charlotte.

Three days later, the Blue Wave sent three more female athletes to the college ranks including a pair of girls soccer players.

Headlining the list is University of Florida golf signee Katelyn Huber.

Huber, who won the FHSAA Class 1A-District 5 title this year, finished third at the state tournament by firing a 2-round total of 136, just five strokes behind state champion Grace Xu of Montverde Academy (131).

She was fourth at the 1A-Region 2 tournament with a final score of 70 and finished just two strokes behind the winner.

Last year Huber made the inaugural Bosshardt Realty All Area golf team after a sixth-place finish at the FHSAA Class 1A state tournament with a score of 140. She won the 1A-District 5 title by 17 strokes and also finished in a tie for fourth at regionals.

Her golf achievements are unmatched with seven straight trips to the state tournament, five top 10 finishes, and several individual district championships.

“As amazing as these achievements are, her lasting impact will be the leadership and mentorship that she has provided to her teammates over the years,” said P.K. Yonge girls golf coach Kelly Barrett. “She puts countless hours into her own practice but will always find time to set up a drill for a teammate or look at their golf swing to provide guidance. We are all so proud of what she has accomplished and the woman she has become and cannot wait to follow her career as a Gator.”

Faith Hardy and Mae Dodd signed with Palm Beach Atlantic University and the University of South Carolina Aiken, respectively.

The duo helped lead the Blue Wave to their first state semifinal appearance in program history last year before falling in the FHSAA Class 3A state semifinals to nationally ranked Montverde Academy.

“Faith is a truly gifted athlete and teammate,” said P.K. Yonge girls soccer coach Rebecca Schackow. “Her humble, yet competitive spirit set a new standard for our program. Faith strives to become better every day. Her drive and work ethic have helped us achieve things we never thought possible.”

Hardy, a senior forward, was among the area’s leading scorers with 39 goals as the captain for the 16-4-3 Blue Wave.

“We are excited for Faith and the commitment she has made to Palm Beach Atlantic,” Schackow said. “Seems like a perfect fit and we wish her all the best there.”

Dodd, a senior midfielder, finished second on the team with 10 goals and 10 assists.

“Mae is a dedicated and determined player who has made a positive impact on our program in multiple ways,” Schackow said. “She is hard working, versatile, and tough. She helps drive our team towards excellence and success.”

She joined Hardy on last year’s Bosshardt Realty All Area girls soccer team and gives the Lady Blue Wave a solid 1-2 punch in 2024-25.

“We are so happy for Mae and for this opportunity she has been given,” Schackow said. “We know she will make great contributions to the USCA program.”
