Sports beat: Oak Hall School boys lacrosse still unbeaten

Oak Hall’s defense took care of business on Wednesday night, keying a 14-0 shutout of visiting Maclay (Tallahassee) in boys high school lacrosse action.

The Eagles got the only goals they would need early, opening up a 4-0 advantage over the Marauders at the end of the first quarter. They extended the lead to 8-0 at the half.

Oak Hall, which improved to 10-0, will play at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Bolles (Jacksonville).

Elsewhere, the Buchholz boys’ lacrosse team lost 14-6 at Forest (Ocala). The Bobcats (4-5) play at 7 p.m. on Monday at Lincoln (Tallahassee).
