Ask any country music fan and they’ll tell you that the only thing better than waking up to country music is when it’s hosted, live, by a fellow country music enthusiast. Country music fans seek a country music host that makes you laugh, get moving, and feel like part of something special.
From 6 to 10 a.m. each weekday, Heather Jennings will bring that energy and music to WPLL, MARC Radio’s I Am Country 106.9 FM soundwaves in Gainesville.
“If you love all things country, you’ll love the Heather Jennings Morning Show,” said MARC Radio’s Scott Miller. “She might even make you smile when your morning alarm clock goes off. She’s that good. She’s that country.”
Gainesville is no stranger to Jennings. She’s spent more than 20 years in the area and is a multi-year broadcast veteran. You may recognize her as that woman on the Harley cruising down the back roads of Alachua County singing out loud to her favorite musical artists.
“Country music is hands-down the soundtrack of my life, and I’ll help you make it yours, too,” she said.
According to Miller, WPLL I Am Country 106.9 FM is rounding out its programming to secure its standing as the go-to country music station in the Gainesville market.
I Am Country 106.9 is owned and operated by MARC Media Group, which also owns radio stations coast to coast in Florida and in Texas. It also owns Mainstreet Daily News and an outdoor advertising company. The radio stations in the Gainesville market include WXJZ 100.9 The Beach, WTMG 101.3 Magic, WDVH 94.1 R&B and WTMN 103.5 The Shepherd.
