ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Lake City has named Raun Craven as its new chief executive officer.
According to a ClearSky press release, the 36-bed medical rehabilitation hospital, which opened in November 2025, specializes in providing rehabilitative care for patients recovering from disabling injuries and illnesses, including stroke, brain injury, hip fracture, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and other medically complex conditions.
A registered nurse with nearly 20 years of clinical and healthcare leadership experience, Craven has served in a variety of leadership roles at healthcare organizations throughout Florida, Virginia and Ohio. Most recently, he was the market director of business development for a medical rehabilitation hospital in Gainesville.
Throughout his career, Craven has focused on business development, operational leadership and building collaborative partnerships while maintaining a commitment to patient-centered care and regulatory compliance, according to the release.
“I’m deeply honored to lead an organization that changes lives every day,” said Craven in the press release. “My journey began at the bedside as a registered nurse, where I learned that healing is about more than medicine. It’s about hope, resilience and the unwavering commitment of a dedicated team. Those lessons continue to guide me today.”
Craven earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He later completed a registered nursing diploma at Riverside School of Professional Nursing in Newport News, Virginia, followed by a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah.

“I’ve seen firsthand the determination of patients overcoming life-changing injuries and illnesses,” he said in the release. “I’m continually inspired by the clinicians, therapists and support staff who make those recoveries possible. I’m committed to fostering a culture of excellence, compassion and innovation so every patient has the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential. Together, we’ll continue transforming lives, strengthening our community and advancing rehabilitative care.”
Craven said his experiences caring for patients recovering from life-changing injuries continue to shape his leadership philosophy.
