One day after three people were shot and one died during a home invasion robbery, Gainesville Police Department (GPD) detectives arrested three suspects.

According to a GPD press release, detectives confirmed that the two individuals —  Alderious White, 28, and Jason Ward, 38 — transported to UF Health Shands were suspects in the home invasion that led to the death of an adult female. Both suspects and the victim were shot during the incident.

GPD charged White and Ward with felony murder and home invasion robbery. The two remain at UF Health Shands while under guard by law enforcement officers.

Officers located the vehicle used to transport White and Ward on Tuesday night and identified and contacted Tiara Luckie, 30, who detectives interviewed and charged with accessory to murder.

The release states that GPD believes the home invasion/homicide is connected to a drug-related incident and it remains an ongoing criminal investigation.
