On Tuesday, an Alachua County Grand Jury indicted William Murphy for the Nov. 3, 2023, murder of Nathaniel Foye.
Alachua County JailOn Tuesday, an Alachua County Grand Jury indicted William Murphy, 36, for first-degree murder, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance and resisting an officer without violence.
The incident happened Nov. 3, 2023, when Gainesville Police Department (GPD) officers arrived to the area of 3720 SW 20th Ave. and found Nathaniel Foye with a gunshot wound. Foye later died from the wound, and officers identified Murphy as the suspect.
The grand jury agreed, and Murphy was transferred to the Alachua County Jail with no bond.
