The Alachua Police Department (APD) is seeking assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an overnight vehicle burglary on Nov. 8.
According to an APD release on Thursday, the suspect was in the neighborhood of NW 136th Terrace in Alachua around 3:01 a.m. when he approached a parked vehicle, entered the driver-side door and removed an item from the center console.
Home security footage recorded the incident and identified the suspect as a white male around 6 feet tall, wearing a flannel-style hooded sweatshirt and a ball cap.
The item reportedly stolen from the vehicle was a Sig Sauer P238 (.380 caliber) pistol.
