In the video, Dominguez was sitting in front of a bookshelf with an AR-15 rifle on his right side and a handgun on his left. He allegedly said he didn’t want to hurt anyone, saying he just wanted to shoot at the school in the hope that police would respond and kill him. He added he would go to the school on a Saturday or Sunday when no children were there and various disclaimers were attached to the video, including one that said, “This is an Art piece.”

The information was sent to the Gainesville Police Department and Alachua County Sheriff’s Office to determine the location of the occurrence. Law enforcement contacted Dominguez in Gainesville by pinging his phone and he was arrested on the evening of Oct. 19 for written threats to kill, do bodily injury or conduct a mass shooting.

The jury found Dominguez guilty after a two-day trial.

Dominguez is currently released on bond.

A case management hearing to receive the pre-sentence investigation results is scheduled for April 23.
