Law enforcement clears Buchholz after reported bomb threat

A false bomb threat was called into Buchholz High School on Friday, leading to a search throughout the school campus before it was cleared.

According to an Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) release, multiple deputies responded to an anonymous call claiming a bomb had been placed in one of the buildings.

Deputies reportedly secured staff and students in a safe location while conducting a methodical search of the campus, using bomb detection K9 units.
