Law enforcement located Hillsborough County murder suspect Katrell Montan Hubbard on Wednesday afternoon in Lake City a week after he eluded police.
According to a Lake City Police Department (LCPD) release, LCPD officers and Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies obtained the location of the South Florida fugitive inside a residence in the area of NW Florida Avenue and NW Wilson Street around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday where he was peacefully taken into custody.
Hubbard, 26, will be held in the Columbia County Detention Center and then extradited to Hillsborough County, according to the release.
LCPD initially located Hubbard last Wednesday and, when officers attempted to pull him over, the suspect refused to stop before crashing his car at the intersection of Main Boulevard and Duval Street. Hubbard fled the scene and law enforcement was unable to find him.
Hubbard is wanted in Hillsborough County for second-degree murder.
