A Gainesville shooting near NE 27th Avenue injured three people early Monday morning.
According to a Gainesville Police Department (GPD) social media post, officers responded to multiple calls of shots being fired around 1 a.m. around NE 27th Avenue just west of Waldo Road.
Officers discovered shell casings and vehicles with bullet holes at the location. A local hospital notified GPD of two gunshot victims who had been dropped off and a third being treated for shrapnel wounds, according to the post. None of the injuries was life-threatening.
