
One student was stabbed during an altercation at Santa Fe High School (SFHS) in Alachua on Tuesday afternoon.
According to an Alachua Police Department (APD) release, the incident occurred around 12:26 p.m. when the SFHS resource officers, assisted by APD patrol officers, responded to the report of a fight between students on campus.
During the incident, one student used a knife and stabbed the other student. The suspect was detained on scene and the injured student was transported to a local hospital for treatment with non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time, no additional threats are reported at SFHS.
