A 46-year-old man is in custody after Bradford County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) deputies discovered three women shot and killed in a Lawtey home following an alleged domestic incident early Tuesday morning.

According to a BCSO release, deputies responded to multiple calls from an 11-year-old child around 2 a.m. in reference to a domestic incident at 21637 NE 17th Ave. in Lawtey.

When deputies arrived, they found Johnnie Bernard Brown, 46, walking in the front yard with several cuts on his body.

Inside the house, deputies discovered three women with multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency responders transported Brown and the three women to the hospital. The three women were pronounced dead upon arrival. They were identified as Quinqune Robinson, 49, Danesha Sims, 27, and Winshay Roddey, 25.

The 11-year-old child was also transported to the local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to WJXT News4JAX TV in Jacksonville, the three women were a mother and two adult daughters and Brown was allegedly married to the mother. The 11-year-old was the granddaughter of Brown’s wife and the niece of the two daughters.  

Brown was arrested and charged with three counts of second-degree murder.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and medical examiner were on scene to assist with the investigation, according to the BCSO release.
