Santa Fe College will host its 21st annual East Gainesville Initiative (EGI) Community Forum on Thursday, Oct. 5.
The event will start at 6 p.m. at SF’s Blount Hall at 530 W. University Ave. in downtown Gainesville.
This year’s forum will highlight student services, new initiatives and academic programs at the college. SF President Paul Broadie II will deliver the opening remarks and discuss the many opportunities for students.
Following Broadie’s remarks, attendees will hear about African American enrollment initiatives, SF Achieve, Career and Technical Education CTE) programs at the college, entrepreneurship and other topics, including TimelyCare, a new well-being and virtual health resource for students.
The EGI has served the area since 2002 and offers educational outreach. SF’s annual community forum promotes training and empowerment opportunities, allowing the local community to provide feedback to drive future efforts.
