Multiple University of Florida graduate programs were recognized among the best in the country in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 rankings.
The rankings were released on Tuesday and 21 UF programs moved up over the past year.
The College of Education rose to No. 6 from No. 16, placing it in the top 10 overall for graduate education programs nationwide, and the College of Veterinary Medicine also moved up from No. 7 to No. 5.
UF graduate programs ranked in the top 10 in their fields included:
- Student Counseling and Personnel Services – No. 1
- Tax Law – No. 2
- Special Education – No. 4
- Veterinary Medicine – No. 5
- Biological/Agricultural Engineering – No. 5
- Occupational Therapy – No. 9
- Physical Therapy – No. 10
Additional UF graduate programs were ranked in the top 20 nationally, including:
- Accounting – No. 13
- Information Systems – No. 16
- Real Estate – No. 15
- Elementary Teacher Education – No. 14
- Aerospace/Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering – No. 19
- Nuclear Engineering – No. 12
- Contracts/Commercial Law – No. 19
- Dispute Resolution – No. 14
“These rankings reflect the unwavering commitment and collaborative spirit of our faculty, staff, and students,” said Joe Glover, UF’s interim provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, in a press release. “Their dedication to excellence underpins the University of Florida’s determination to lead in graduate and professional education.”
In January, The U.S. News & World Report named the UF online bachelor’s degree programs No. 2 overall. UF was also selected No. 1 by U.S. News & World Report rankings for its online bachelor’s program for veterans
In August 2024, Forbes magazine ranked UF as the No. 4 public university in the nation and in September, U.S. News & World Report selected UF as the No. 7 public university.
