For the sixth straight year, Santa Fe College was recognized as a Military Friendly school along with being named a Top 10 designation for the second straight year in the large public institution category.

Institutions that earn the Military Friendly ® School designation are evaluated using responses from a proprietary survey and public data sources. Only 530 of the more than 1,800 schools participating in the 2023 survey earn the Top 10 designation and 250 are selected for the “Gold” award status.

“Santa Fe College is proud to support our veterans and their families,” SF President Paul Broadie II said in a press release. “I thank Sandra Torres-Pintos and her team at Veterans and Military Success Services for their dedication and unwavering commitment to supporting our veterans throughout their academic journey. Along with their team, they have cultivated an environment where our Veterans can thrive and excel as they achieve their educational goals.  We are fortunate to have a strong, successful military community at Santa Fe.”

The final ratings were determined by combining the government/agency public data sources and the institution’s survey response.

“SF’s recognition as a Military Friendly institution underscores our deep-seated respect and gratitude for our veteran community,” Sandra Torres-Pintos, coordinator of Veterans and Military Success Services, said in the press release. “Our veteran students, staff, and faculty members enrich our institution with their experience and resilience. We honor their service and remain steadfast in supporting not only their success, but also the well-being of their families. Our commitment is to foster an environment where every veteran feels valued, empowered, and heard.”
