Elections Office leaves names off some ballots

Nearly 1,000 voters inside Gainesville’s Precinct 27 recently received incomplete vote-by-mail ballots for the upcoming primary election.

According to an Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office press release sent on Sunday, the elections office sent 970 ballots that did not include Gainesville mayoral and city commission District 4 races. 

The elections office will resend corrected ballots in the mail by Friday, July 22, and asks voters who received the incomplete ballots are instructed to not return the incorrect ballots, according to the release.

If voters have questions, they are directed to call the Elections Office during business hours at 352-374-5252.
