ACHD expands East Gainesville clinical hours

The Alachua County Health Department (ACHD) will extend its East Gainesville location’s primary care hours starting Nov. 1. 

The clinic’s new times will be from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday through Friday  and 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The East Gainesville is at 224 S.E. 24th St. Appointments are required by calling 352-334-7910, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday through Friday.

“The Alachua County Health Department is well-positioned to provide additional primary care and communicable disease appointments at our East Gainesville clinic,” said Paul Myers, administrator of the ACHD, in a press release. “Our staff is excited to continue addressing the needs of our most vulnerable citizens.”

The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners recently provided additional funding to the ACHD at its Sept. 29 meeting to support after-hours appointment clinics, seven days a week.
