UF Health will host two educational seminars on Wednesday, Sept. 16, covering platelet-rich plasma therapy and advances in brain tumor care and support.
The seminars will start at 10 a.m. and will be held at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center (1714 SW 34th St., Gainesville). Click here to register for the seminars.

Healing From Within: The Power of Platelet-rich Plasma
10-11 a.m.
Dr. Jason Zaremski, of UF Health Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, will discuss how platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, injections are being used to promote healing and relieve joint pain.
The minimally invasive treatment uses a patient’s own blood to help repair damaged tissue, reduce inflammation and support recovery. The seminar will explain how PRP therapy works, who may benefit from treatment and what patients can expect.
Understanding Brain Tumors: Advances in Care and Support
1-2:30 p.m.
Sonya Cerlanek, Jennifer St. Clair and Dr. Corey Treeshi of UF Health Neurosurgery will lead a seminar on brain tumor diagnosis, treatment and support.
The presentation will address primary brain tumors, current diagnostic and treatment approaches, and the psychosocial needs of patients and their families. Presenters will also discuss UF Health’s brain metastases navigation program, which helps patients with metastatic brain tumors understand their care and access needed resources.
