34th Annual Great American Cleanup slated for April 19

Keep Alachua County Beautiful (KACB) will host the 34th Annual Great American Cleanup at Massey Park on Saturday, April 19.

Volunteers can pre-register online at kacb.org/events or sign up in person at 8 a.m. at Albert Ray Massey (Westside) Park (1001 NW 34th St., Gainesville) on the event day.

KACB will provide all necessary supplies, including litter grabbers, safety vests, and collection bags. Each volunteer group will be assigned a work site, and all participants will receive lunch as a thank-you.

This community-wide initiative encourages volunteers to help clean up local streets, parks, and natural areas.

Event details and reminders:

  • Early supply pickup: Volunteers can collect supplies in advance from KACB’s office (1001 NW 5th Ave., Suite C) on Mondays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Same-day registration: On-site registration and supply pickup begin at 8 a.m. at Massey Park.
  • Supply and data sheet return: Borrowed supplies and post-event data sheets must be returned to Massey Park by 11:30 a.m.
  • Trash and recycling drop-off: All collected litter and recyclables must be delivered to Massey Park between 8 and 11 a.m.
